Caroline Blum is a contemporary artist who makes drawings, paintings and sculptures. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and her artwork reflects the vibrant lights and colors that were around her in the city. She met Ruth Asawa in San Francisco when she was young and Asawa had a big influence on her as she became an artist. Asawa said besides making art, to contribute to the health of your community through your art.

Caroline received her BA in Fine Art from the University of California Santa Cruz. She studied painting at the New York Studio School in New York City where she recently received the Mercedes Matter Award. The artist has participated in numerous group exhibitions including those at McKenzie Fine Art, New York, Barry Campbell, New York, The Painting Center, New York, Silvermine Gallery, Connecticut, Dorato 806 Projects, California, The Ely Center for Contemporary Art, Connecticut, and Susan Eley Fine Art, New York, where she curated exhibitions including Driven to Abstraction and Off the Grid. She designed the cover art for musician Uwade's latest EP and her painting Garden Gate was made into a flag for Earth Day at Rockefeller Center. She has taught art for children at public and private schools in New York City. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she taught and coached Swimming at Columbia University, and has two adult children.

Her works are in numerous private collections including the Peter Surace Collection, Rego Park, NY, Emily Reaman Family Collection, San Rafael, CA, Blossom Industries, Cleveland, OH, Georgina Berkman Collection, Queensland, Australia and Robert Moon, London, England. In December her drawings will be featured in the exhibition Drawing Now 2024 at the Czong Institute of Contemporary Art in South Korea.
